I bought Calor and coal several times from Chamberlain Carrying Company while moored along the Shropshire Union canal. I was recently widowed, deep in grief, and struggling emotionally. Ruth’s lovely smile and Richard’s quiet, helpful manner brought bright spot to bleak days, and good quality coal too!

Hi I’m a newbie on the canals and figuring out fuel was really one of the last things on my list when I bought my boat in summer. Since then I’ve had coal delivered in a gale, whilst I’m off the boat and also collected from the depot .

Every time Ruth , Richard and Sven have delivered efficiently and helpfully .

Cannot recommend them enough.

Ruth and Richard provide such an excellent service with the fuel boat, out in all weather’s, they’re super reliable. Their prices are always competitive too, real service with a smile. We know whenever we’re on the Llangollon we won’t run out of fuel or gas, you can just wave them in passing and they’ll stop too.

I rely on the fuel boat for diesel, coal and gas. They never let me down, even delivering by van if the boat gets held up.

Richard & Ruth are the nicest people you’ll meet on the canal. Excellent fuel boat service and love my traditional canal art items bought from Ruth. Highly recommended.

Ruth, Richard and Sven give great service and are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We live on our boat and continually cruise and in the Winter months we couldn’t manage without them. You can order in advance or just flag them down.
