Description
Historically, and most working boats of today (including Mountbatten) on the waterways system, don’t have water tanks like modern boats, instead they have a can or more on the roof for drinking and washing water. (Called Buckby cans if made on the Buckby flight on the Grand Union Canal)
Nowadays, the watercan is a proud, mainly decorative addition to any traditional style narrowboat on the canals and rivers. The full size versions are usually adorned with the boat or owner’s name and I paint these as bespoke commissions.
Please use the Contact Us form to make an enquiry. Otherwise, standard colourways for the ornamental sizes are available to order through here.
Due to shop/fuelboat commitments, please allow at least 21 days for delivery as all cans will be painted to order. Thank you

My wife loved the little watering can. Beautifully painted.
Thank you Peter for the wonderful review!
